S1ren Musician
Alina Kurji, a.k.a S1ren, is an R&B / Neo Soul Artist. Her recent love for the genre was influenced by. Artists such as Muni Long, Jhene Aiko, Jasmine Sullivan, Ari Lennox and many others. Although her goal is to create a most authentic R&B sound going forward, her other influences such as Tom Misch and Ariana Grande, allow her to branch into other genres to be able to create a variety of different music.
At the age of 4, she began singing and loved every second of it. She received training from her music teachers whilst in school and eventually ended up receiving her ABRSM certificates for Music Theory till Grade 5 as well as Flute practical till Grade 5. Alongside these accomplishments, she is a self-taught guitarist and pianist.
Her passion for the Arts has been her driving force, she also branched into acting for a short while. During her high school years, she was blessed with the experience of playing a small role in the production Albatross performed by the Kenya National Youth Theatre in the Rose Theatre in Kingston.
She studied at the AFDA School of Film & Performing Arts in Johannesburg South Africa, where she graduated with a degree in Music Performance. She has recently begun to produce her music; she also has released three singles on Apple Music and Spotify as well as other platforms. Her most recent single CRIME SCENE focuses on a simple beat with layered harmonies as well as lyrics that speak straight from the heart. She is currently working on an Album that she plans to release towards the end of 2022.
